KYIV. April 8 (Interfax) - Activists of pro-Russian organizations continue to control the building of the Donetsk region administration on Tuesday morning.
According to journalists who have been allowed to enter the building, protesters are occupying several offices, where they have put mattresses on the floor.
A canteen is open in the building where protesters are provided with meals free of charge. A part of the building's property has been damaged, eyewitnesses have claimed.
Protesters can still be seen outside of the regional administration headquarters in Oktyabrskaya Square. A two-meter-high barricade, made of car tires and timber boards and surrounded by barbed wire, has appeared near the building entrance. There are also several barrel fires, at which protesters keep themselves warm at nighttime. Protesters are storing firewood near the city's Bohdan Khmelnytsky Avenue.
People dressed in camouflage and wearing masks are guarding the building entrance.
