Russia retains right to take response measures in event of new Western sanctions - Russian first deputy PM

BERLIN. April 10 (Interfax) - Russia is not yielding to provocative claims of sanctions, but it retains the right to take appropriate measures in response to possible new concrete sanctions that could be imposed on it by the West, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said.

"In our opinion, there is no point in speaking about this [sanctions] at the moment because much is being said but very little is being done. Should this turn into some concrete action program, we will have to respond. But we are not yielding to any provocative claims. We are behaving as usual, calmly, and we are protecting companies located on Russian territory," he told reporters on the sidelines of the East Forum in Berlin on Thursday.
