KYIV. April 14 (Interfax) - Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, chief of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), said the law enforcement operation in the Donetsk region aims to neutralize armed groups which, he said, have arrived from the neighboring state.
"The large-scale counter-terrorism operation in the Donetsk region will draw serious military forces in places, where the neighboring country's armed special groups have arrived and are terrorizing the local population. These are the most dangerous spots which we will neutralize, using all our forces. We will destroy them if they open fire. There is no doubt about that," he said on 1+1 television on Sunday evening.
