MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax-AVN) - The number of armored vehicles of NATO in Europe exceeds the number of Russia's vehicles several fold, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said.
"Today NATO has 10,000 tanks in Europe, while we have 3,500 tanks. NATO has 22,000 armored vehicles and we have approximately 7,500," Antonov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel.
In the framework of the agreement on destroying mid- and close-range rockets, Russia has eliminated over 2,000 ballistic and cruise missiles with flight ranges of 500 to 5,500 km and 825 missile launchers and over 3,000 nuclear warheads with a total capacity of 500,000 tonnes, Antonov said.
