KYIV. April 16 (Interfax) - Six military observers from six OSCE member states have arrived in the Sumy region, the regional administration's press service reports.
Mission head Maj. Jack de Kleine (the Netherlands) said they were tasked to familiarize themselves with the activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, record any possible atypical military activity and help prevent escalations of the conflict.
The mission, which had visited the Chernihiv region, would visit the Kharkiv region on Wednesday.
The OSCE observers are visiting Ukraine at the invitation of the Ukrainian defense and foreign ministries. The military experts will post a monitoring report.
