U.S. to introduce sanctions against Russia if no progress on Ukraine made - Kerry

GENEVA. April 18 (Interfax) - Washington is ready to introduce additional sanctions regarding Russia, if it does not see progress in resolving the Ukrainian issues, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said.

If no progress is made and no movement in the right direction occurs, the United States will introduce additional sanctions, Kerry said following talks on Ukraine in Geneva.

Participants of the talks in Geneva have agreed that all conflict parties in Ukraine should refrain from violence, intimidation and provocations, Kerry said.

The U.S. strongly condemns and dismisses any manifestations of extremism, racism, and religious intolerance, including anti-Semitism, in Ukraine, Kerry said.
