Yanukovych's son wanted in Ukraine

KYIV. April 21 (Interfax) - The eldest son of Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr, is wanted by the Ukrainian authorities.

O. Yanukovych is charged under Article 366 part two (forgery with grave consequences) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said on its website. The article imposes a punishment of two to five years of imprisonment and a ban from holding certain positions or carrying out certain activities for at least three years.

The younger Yanukovych is wanted by the Security Service of Ukraine on the basis of a court order for his arrest.

Oleksandr disappeared off the radar in Kyiv on February 23, 2014, the ministry said on its website.

He owns 100% shares in MAKO Group.

It was reported on April 7 that the MAKO Group companies were working as usual and paying their salaries and taxes in full and on time.
