MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - The Kremlin considers U.S. statements that more sanctions against Russia may be introduced as counterproductive.
"With the adoption of this document [in the wake of the Geneva talks] Washington made statements that it continues to work on the program of new sanctions. This can hardly promote the atmosphere of dialog," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov also paid attention to a statement that the United States close follow the fulfillment of obligations that Russia has undertaken, Peskov said on the air of the Sunday Night with Vladimir Solovyov TV program.
"One cannot treat Russia as a guilty school girl who is shown a paper where crosses should be put in on who she made her homework. This is impossible, such language is unacceptable," Peskov said.
