KYIV. May 5 (Interfax) - Kyiv-1 special police battalion servicemen have arrived in Odesa, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote on Facebook.
"This is one of the units recently formed of civil activists. There are Odesa natives in the unit command. Same as a significant part of its members [who also come from Odesa]," the minister said.
As reported earlier, the May 2 mass disturbances and fire in Odesa killed at least 46 people and injured over two hundred.
