SANTIAGO. May 5 (Interfax) - The Russian authorities are grateful to Chile for its understanding of Moscow's vision of the Ukrainian crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.
"We have outlined our assessments of the events in Ukraine. I would like to thank you for having heard us," he said after negotiations with Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Munoz on Wednesday.
Lavrov said that, among other topics, he and Munoz had discussed the situation in Syria, contacts between Russia and Chile within the UN Security Council and other organizations, as well as cooperation in combating the drug threat.
