National Guard serviceman killed near Sloviansk, 2 more wounded

KYIV, May 26 (Interfax) - A serviceman of Ukraine's National Guard was killed in action in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, Saturday evening, two more were wounded, the press service of the National Guard reports.

"In the evening of May 24 the personnel of a formation of the National Guard of Ukraine in Sloviansk came under attack. In the standoff with the adversary that lasted for about two hours two servicemen received shot wounds. One serviceman was wounded by a grenade splinter in the arm, the other was shot in the body. Presently the wounded are receiving medical assistance in a hospital," the report says.

"One more serviceman received a lethal shot wound in the attack," the report added.
