KYIV May 26 (Interfax) - Presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko, who has mustered over 55% of the vote, according to exit polls, has confirmed plans to travel to Donbass on his first visit as president.
"I will travel to Donbass on my first presidential visit," he said at a press briefing at his campaign staff on Sunday.
Poroshenko thanked "thousands of residents of Crimea and hundreds of thousands of residents of Donbass" for taking part in the polls.
"We can say with confidence and determination: the whole of Ukraine cast its ballots. It is the choice made by the whole of Ukraine," Poroshenko said.
