Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sets conditions for normalization with Russia

KYIV. May 27 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry believes a dialogue with Russia is necessary but normalization will require certain steps.

"Definitely, a dialogue should be maintained with any neighbor, including the Russian Federation. Yet we should have a clear idea as to which results we aspire to and our dialogue should be result-oriented," Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Danylo Lubkivsky said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"Normalization with Russia will be impossible until Russia pulls back troops from the Ukrainian border, sets Crimea free and stops the aggressive policy and rhetoric," he said.
