"The OSCE Mission representatives were captured near the border between the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Contact with them was lost yesterday at around 6 o'clock in the evening. We are doing all we can, using local contacts. The Ukrainian government and regional authorities have been informed about this situation," a Mission representative told Interfax.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine lost contact with one of its groups working in the Donetsk region.

The team was on a routine patrol east of Donetsk when contact with it was lost and efforts to restore it have so far failed, the OSCE said in a statement.
