Georgian president accuses Russia of interfering in Abkhazia's affairs

TBILISI. June 3 (Interfax) - Moscow interferes in Abkhazia's affairs and in the affairs of Georgians residing there, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said.

"We are watching closely the events in Abkhazia as it is occupied territory where our citizens reside, whose interests we are not able to defend," Margvelashvili said at a news conference joint with Swiss President Didier Burkhalter on Tuesday.

"It is absolutely evident that Russia interferes openly in the life of our country and lives of our citizens," he said.

"The issues of Abkhazia, Tskhinval region and Crimea should be a constant priority at international talks and international agenda," Margvelashvili said.
