TBILISI. June 3 (Interfax) - Georgia's foreign minister, Maia Panjikidze, said South Ossetia's contemplated integration with Russia would be illegitimate.
"Whatever the de-factor Tskhinvali authorities do will be illegitimate. Therefore, this occupied territory's contemplated integration with Russia will be illegitimate," she told reporters on Tuesday.
Panjikidze was commenting on South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov's statement that the republic's new parliament, to be elected on June 8, could propose South Ossetia's integration with Russia.
