NOVOSIBIRSK. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia and China are working together on next-generation universal planes and heavy helicopters, Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Yuri Slyusar said in Novosibirsk on Friday.
"Investment in the universal plane project is valued at $7-8 billion. This is a medium-term program. Baseline technologies capable of providing new quality and next-generation parameters will be required for its success," Slyusar said.
The project aims to improve comfort and mobility in transportation between continental China and coastal zones, he said.
"Our Chinese partners contribute technologies, market and investment, and Russia contributes technologies and investment. The investment market stipulates the appearance of a third partner we have been waiting for - companies from any other countries which can add technologies," he said.
