MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Over 350 militants, including the masterminds and perpetrators of terrorist attacks, have been neutralized in the Northern Caucasus in the first four months of this year, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said at a "government hour" meeting in the State Duma on Wednesday.
Kolokoltsev said the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security service are working on the elimination of militant groups and the prosecution of their leaders and members.
He also called for improvements of the legislation on these issues, adding that Interior Ministry officials have been directly involved in the work on over twenty federal laws aimed at boosting the effectiveness of extremism and terror prevention activities.
