Over sixty defense industry enterprises to get state guarantees worth some 380 billion rubles - Medvedev (Part 2)

MOSCOW. June 23 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed an order on the provision in 2013 of state guarantees to defense industry enterprises worth some 380 billion rubles.

"Ninety-six state guarantees worth some 380 billion rubles will be provided this year. It's a lot of money and it will facilitate the search for extra budgetary sources for over sixty defense enterprises," Medvedev said during a meeting with his deputies.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin recalled that state guarantees worth 122.5 billion rubles were provided for these purposes in 2011, almost 188 billion rubles were provided in 2012, and the figure almost doubled in 2013, reaching 362 billion rubles.

"This decree is the first one. More decrees will be issued on this matter," Rogozin said.

The adoption of this document will enable defense enterprises to take loans under state guarantees without providing additional security to lending organizations, he said.
