Ukrainian Choice leader Medvedchuk says he doesn't represent interests of DNR, LNR, but negotiates with them

KYIV. June 25 (Interfax) - Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the public movement Ukrainian Choice, has denied the media reports stating that he represented the interests of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics in the June 23 consultations in Donetsk.

"I have never represented the interests of the Donetsk People's Republic or the Luhansk People's Republic. In a group of negotiation mediators involving parliamentarian Nestor Shufrich, we have conducted negotiations with representatives of the Donetsk People's Republic or the Luhansk People's Republic to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The information allegedly disseminated on behalf of the OSCE is false," he said in his blog in the early hours of Wednesday.

A report posted on the OSCE website on Tuesday said that a representative of the Donetsk People's Republic had said in a meeting with the OSCE mission that Medvedchuk represented the Donetsk People's Republic or the Luhansk People's Republic in the negotiations.
