Ukraine will have one state language - Poroshenko

KYIV. June 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said again that Ukraine will have only one state language.

"The Ukrainian language has been and will be the only state and constitutional language in Ukraine," the president said while meeting with representatives of public administration and local self-government bodies in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Decentralization of power will affect the language and cultural spheres, he said. "Local communities will have full rights to use all other languages, including Russian, along with Ukrainian," Poroshenko said.
