MOSCOW/KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR. June 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov has inspected the production facilities of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft construction plant incorporated in the Sukhoi holding, the Defense Ministry told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

"Yury Borisov praised progress in the production of planes for the Defense Ministry. The plant committed to deliver twelve Su-35S and seven Su-30M2 fighters by the end of 2014. The plant is also prepared to build fourteen Su-35S planes by the end of 2015," it said.

The Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant manufactures the Su-30M2 and Su-35S planes and the T-50 fifth-generation fighter. The plant also repairs and modernizes the Su-33 carrier-based fighter.

Sukhoi Company CEO Igor Ozar told Borisov of the implementation of the defense order contract for 2014 and the plant's reserves for stepping up its production.

The participants in a working conference discussed serial supplies under the existing contracts and the conclusion of new long-term contracts for the production of Su-35S fighters under the existing armament program.

Borisov was shown a production line under construction for the prospected T-50 plane. In line with the existing state armament program, the plant will be ready to supply such planes to Russian forces starting 2016.
