Self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic leadership agrees to talks with Kyiv on its terms

LUHANSK. July 8 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) is ready to hold talks with Kyiv on a peaceful settlement of the crisis, in which Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Russian representatives would also take part, but it agrees to do so only on its own terms, LPR head Valery Bolotov said.

"We have been indirectly approached concerning the arrangement of these negotiations. We won't agree to the scenario that was used before. We earlier agreed and ceased fire unilaterally, and they [the Ukrainian government] redeployed their forces. This time around, if there are talks, they will be on our terms," Bolotov said at a press conference on Tuesday.

"The exact venue and time of negotiations is not known yet," Bolotov said. "We've been given the opportunity to choose a place for holding the talks," he said.
