BEIJING. July 9 (Interfax) - The relations between Russia and China do not have place for politicking and are aimed at future, Russian presidential administration head Sergei Ivanov said.
During a meeting with students studying Russian philology in the Beijing university for foreign languages Ivanov referred to meaning of the word politicking. "This is opportunistic behavior in politics, when you want to get short-term gain without thinking about future," Ivanov said.
"This is impossible in the relations between Russia and China," Ivanov said. "No one is engaged in politicking here," he said.
This is referred to the fact that the relations between the two countries are not only tied by the communication of leaders but numerous human contacts as well, the administration head said.
"We have wonderful high-level contacts and in five days our leaders will meet again at the BRICS summit in Brazil but all this is just top of the pyramid and the pyramid is stable when it has safe fundament, different human contacts," Ivanov said.
