Black Sea Fleet logistics center opened in Crimea

ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The Black Sea Fleet logistics and maintenance center has opened in Crimea, the Southern Military District press service said.

"The center deployed in the Republic of Crimea serves formations and military units of the Black Sea Fleet, bases and arms facilities. It incorporates automobile and engineering units, repair workshops, hardware bases, petroleum product storage facilities and other units," says a district press service report seen by Interfax-AVN on Wednesday.

The logistics center is staffed with servicemen, civilians and paramilitary security guards.

"The logistics and maintenance center will provide the fleet, seaborne aircraft and coastal troops with everything they need to accomplish their mission of the armed protection of national interests of Russia," it said.
