Biggest wish of Dutch citizens is to bring bodies home - PM tells Poroshenko

KYIV. July 21 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte have discussed on the phone the cleanup of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing crash, which killed 192 Dutch citizens.

Rutte thanked Poroshenko for his effort and the people of Ukraine for their sympathy and solidarity with the people of the Netherlands, the presidential press service said.

The Dutch prime minister said the ordeal had brought the two peoples together.

He also said his primary objective was to transport the bodies to the home country.

This is the biggest wish of 16 million citizens of ours, Rutte added.

Poroshenko assured Rutte, "Ukraine is doing its utmost to recover all bodies and to hold a maximum transparent and independent investigation."

The sides discussed more resolute measures of the EU in the crash cleanup that might be approved at the next foreign ministerial conference of the European Council due on Tuesday, July 22.
