Militia retreats from Dzerzhynsk (Part 2)

MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - Ukrainian law enforcement has taken control over Dzerzhynsk located 55 km north of Donetsk and the militia is forced to retreat, South-East Front information center head Konstantin Knyrik told Interfax on Monday.

"Militia retreating in the direction of Horlivka, thus Dzerzhynsk is under enemy control," Knyrik said.

According to the preliminary information, the death toll among civilians grew to ten people, the Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel correspondent reported from Dzerzhynsk.

"Population is currently being evacuated to safe districts - city center and remote districts in suburbs," the reporter said.

No humanitarian corridor exists for now, the journalist said.

"Tanks firing at terrain stand at roads," the reporter said.
