First plane carrying crash victims' remains leaves Kharkiv for Netherlands

KHARKIV. July 23 (Interfax) - The first plane carrying the remains of the people killed in the Malaysian plane crash in eastern Ukraine on July 17 has left Kharkiv for the Netherlands.

The plane, which is carrying the bodies of 16 crash victims, left the Kharkiv international airport at 11:57 a.m. local time, an Interfax correspondent has reported. Another plane carrying the victims' remains will leave for the Netherlands on Wednesday.

The procedures for preparing and transporting the victims' remains are expected to be completed by Friday.
