KYIV. July 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian troops are not opening fire on the Russian territory in the area where the military operation is being conducted, the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council said.
"In regard of the statement made by Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov saying that the Russian territory has come under fire from Ukraine nine times since the beginning of June, we are officially saying that the armed forces and units of the State Border Guard Service and other law enforcement structures of Ukraine are not shooting at the Russian territory," Andriy Lysenko, a representative of the analytical center of the National Security and Defense Council, told a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
Lysenko said that "militants systematically carry out such provocation attacks to cause Russian military to open fire on the positions of Ukrainian border guards and military."
