KYIV. July 29 (Interfax) - A high-voltage electricity substation has been mined in the premises of the Tochmash defense and mining industry plant in Donetsk, which can cause partial electricity blackouts in the city, the DTEK energy company reported.
There are partial power outages in sectors of the Kuibyshevsky, Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk, it said.
Electricity supplies have been cut to the center of Horlivka, to the coal miners' district of Kochegarka and other areas, the company reported.
The Horlivka dairy and meat factories, and water pumping station are using reserve electricity generators. Repair workers cannot start fixing the power outages, obstructed by the fighting.
Forty-nine populated areas in the Donetsk region remain without electricity.
DTEK is a major Ukrainian energy company which is part of the System Capital Management industrial-financial group. Rinat Akhmetov is one of its shareholders.
