MINSK. July 31 (Interfax) - A trilateral contact group on settling the situation in eastern Ukraine may meet at the Belarusian government residence Zaslavl in Minsk on Thursday, a source close to the negotiations told Interfax.
Official institutions have declined to say where the meeting will be held and when. Interfax's sources said Belarus has only offered a venue for the negotiations, and none of official press services' employees has been authorized to comment on the meeting itself.
The Russian embassy confirmed that Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov is to arrive in Minsk for negotiations. The Ukrainian embassy to Minsk refrained from providing information on details of Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma's participation in the trilateral meeting.
