Ukrainian troops currently do not plan to leave Russia - border guard department

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Aug 6 (Interfax) - It is currently not known when the Ukrainian troops who entered Russia in the early hours of Monday will return to Ukraine, Vasily Malayev, an official with the Russian Federal Security Service's Border Guard Department for the Rostov region, told Interfax on Wednesday.

"The Ukrainian troops are currently not going to leave the territory of Russia. There are currently no exact dates and times when it will happen," Malayev said.

Malayev said the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Rostov region is now calm and no intensive fighting is going on on the border.

The Ukrainian troops crossed the Russian border through a special humanitarian corridor and were accommodated in a temporary camp for refugees.

A total of 195 of the 438 troops left for Ukraine later on Monday.

A total of 243 guests from Ukraine are currently in the field camp, which was made especially for the Ukrainian troops who have entered the Russian territory.
