KYIV. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has spoken to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on the phone, the Ukrainian presidential press service said on Sunday.
"P. Poroshenko thanked the United States for support and told J. Kerry that representatives of the International C0mmittee of the Red Cross (ICRC) had been invited to coordinate the delivery of humanitarian aid," the report said.
Kerry welcomed the Ukrainian president's initiative concerning Ukraine's launch of an international humanitarian mission for Luhansk residents, the press service said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier that Russia had been making arrangements with Ukraine and humanitarian agencies of the UN and the ICRC about humanitarian supplies to the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
