Ukraine has over 80,000 migrants, mainly from east - ministry

KYIV. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Migrants in Ukraine currently number around 83,000 people, said Social Policy Minister Lyudmila Denisova.

"Most migrants go to the Kharkiv and Kyiv regions, there are about 83,000 migrants," she told journalists in Kyiv on Monday.

The minister said that 15,000 of them migrated from Crimea, the rest from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Donetsk and Luhansk have been fully cut off from the treasury, which is why the Ministry of Social Policy has so far been unable to ensure payouts of pensions and social benefits, the minister said.
