ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow region. Aug 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Over 250 Russian and foreign companies will take part in the third international forum, "Machine Building Technologies 2014," and the second international arms, technologies and innovation exhibition, OboronExpo 2014, both to be held in Zhukovsky, Moscow region, on August 13 - 17.
Foreign exhibitors will be coming, in particular, from Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, China, the United States, France, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland, according to a document circulated among the press by the forum and exhibition organizers.
Displays will be organized on areas of over 6,000 square meters. More than 250 companies will take part in the exhibition. Samples of weapons and military, special and civilian equipment will be displayed in a 2,000-square meter open-air exposition. The Russian Defense Ministry will have 24 pieces of military hardware on static display.
In all, the forum will involve around 2,000 specialists.
The forum guests will be shown a demonstration program as part of a large-scale special preview, "The Invincible and Legendary," to be screened twice daily on August 16 and 17. Equipment will complete a set of runs, passages and artificial obstacles on specially-built testing ground to demonstrate its mobile capabilities.
A new feature of the forum will be a three-hour "Forsazh" (Force) show that will include demonstration flights by warplanes and aerobatic teams and performances by well-known racing drivers. "The highlight of the show will be unique speed and acceleration races between jet aircraft and supercars," the statement said.
