MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Moscow is troubled by Kyiv's delay in granting its security guarantees to the humanitarian convoy sent by Russia to southeastern Ukraine.
"[Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov expressed hope that this worrisome delay in granting security guarantees is not an attempt by Kyiv or other forces to disrupt this crucial humanitarian action," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a report following a telephone conversation between Lavrov and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Peter Maurer.
"Maurer noted that all aspects of maintaining the security of the humanitarian convoy and ICRC personnel who will be involved in this operation will be ensured by the Russian side and the militia in full," the ministry said.
