MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Russia insists on a careful investigation into the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 in Ukraine and proposes that the matter be discussed at a Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session, Russian State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin said.
"Asked by our colleagues what issues Russia believes should be raised at the Parliamentary Assembly forum concerning the situation in Ukraine and ways to settle the crisis, we mentioned several issues, including our demand that a transparent and open investigation be conducted into the Malaysian Boeing tragedy," Naryshkin told journalists on Tuesday.
Naryshkin was on a working visit to France on September 1 and 2. In particular, he participated in the PACE Presidential Committee session, during which Russian delegates declared their position on the Boeing crash investigation.
"We expressed our concerns that we can't be happy about the way it is being done now," Naryshkin said.
He said his PACE counterparts replied to this that this subject was also among their priorities.
