DONETSK. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The headquarters of the Donetsk People's Republic's militia reported on Thursday that another Ukrainian battalion had been encircled.
"The militia encircled the battalion Kyiska Rus in the area of Debaltsevo. We don't know yet how many troops are encircled because such battalions can have fifty members or more," the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic told Interfax on Thursday.
"The Ukrainian authorities have confirmed that the unit has been encircled. There is currently no exact information on the number of troops and equipment encircled near Debaltsevo," the Defense Ministry said.
Interfax currently has no official confirmation of the information on the Ukrainian troops encircled near Debaltsevo.
