Self-proclaimed Donbas republics insist on independence - Purgin

MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - The leadership of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) insists on its independence from Ukraine.

"We fully and absolutely insist on our republic's independence within the boundaries of the Donetsk region. As far as I know, our colleagues from the [self-proclaimed] Luhansk republic have the same position," DPR First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Purgin told Interfax.
