Russia, U.S. still have some disagreements, should continue respectful dialogue - Lavrov

PARIS. Oct 15 (Interfax) - Moscow and Washington still have disagreements on some issues, and they should work on settling them, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"There are issues on which our positions are different and disagreements remain in place. But it is in our common interests to look for solutions to these issues, but these solutions should be based on a respectful dialogue, equitable agreements, and consideration of each other's interests," Lavrov told journalists in summing up outcomes of his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Paris on Tuesday.

"The meeting was useful, and we agreed to continue our contacts so as to move ahead on all issues. We should continue to work together where we can do so. Where there are disagreements, we should look for understandings that would reflect the balance and interests, which should be fair and equitable," Lavrov said.
