136 unidentified soldiers buried in Dnipropetrovsk in past two months

DNIPROPETROVSK. Oct 29 (Interfax) - A total of 136 unknown soldiers who were killed in the east of Ukraine were buried at the Krasnopolsky cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk in September and October.

A memorial service for 20 soldiers was held in the square in front of the Dnipropetrovsk Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on Wednesday, the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration said.

The names of these soldiers have not been established either.

The mourning ceremony was attended by hundreds of local residents, who came with flowers, as well as officials and members of volunteer military battalions.

Efforts continue to identify the bodies of the soldiers killed in the military-operation zone and to find their relatives. Once they are identified, their relatives will be able to re-bury them.
