Russia concerned over civilian casualties in U.S. bombardments in Syria

MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed its concern over civilian casualties in the bombardments of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) positions in Syria by the United States and their allies, which are not authorized by the UN Security Council.

"We cannot help but be concerned over facts presented by the commission, which mentions civilian casualties in the bombardment of ISIL positions in Syria by the United States and their allies, which was not authorized by the UN Security Council," says a commentary posted on the ministry website and referring to a report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry.
