West should promote dialogue between Kyiv, Donbas - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Moscow is calling on the West to help establish a stable dialogue between Kyiv and representatives of the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk people's republics, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"As the next step, we are calling for the establishment of stable contacts between Kyiv and Donbas representatives with the aim of reaching mutually acceptable agreements. The West should support this process rather than seeking to support anything that the 'war party' in Kyiv is doing and turning a blind eye to glaring human rights violations, open lawlessness, and war crimes," Lavrov said in a report at the State Duma on Wednesday.
