Putin to meet with defense collegium on Dec 19

MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The expanded session of the Defense Ministry collegium to be chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin this Friday will sum up the results of the Russian Armed Forces in 2014 and set the tasks for 2015, the president's press office said.

"For the first time a Collegium session will take place at the building of the Russian Federation National Defense Control Center," the statement said.

The Supreme Commander-in-chief will also be briefed about the key aspects of the Center and shown the defense products currently entering service in the army, as well as the military and social infrastructure of the Russian Armed Forces, the Kremlin said.

"Putin will end his visit to the Center with a meeting with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council," the statement said.
