MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Moscow remains committed to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on settling the situation in southeastern Ukraine, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said at a meeting with Head of the European Commission Delegation to Russia Vygaudas Usackas.
"The parties discussed the situation in Ukraine. Russia emphasized the need for the parties to implement the Minsk agreements. The hope was expressed for progress in these issues in the course of contacts planned for the near future," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement available on its website.
Karasin and Usackas also addressed a humanitarian disaster in southeastern Ukraine and measures to overcome it, the ministry said.
