24 logistics systems to replace 400 obsolete bases, warehouses - Shoigu

MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces are forming a joint logistics system, according to a report prepared and presented by Russian Defense Minister Army Gen. Sergei Shoigu at an expanded session of the ministerial collegium, which was attended by President Vladimir Putin, last Friday.

"Instead of the 400 outdated bases and warehouses, 24 production and logistics systems will be built using the advanced technologies for goods registration and processing. Their construction is partly funded by investors' money," the report said.

"This year the construction of such systems has begun in Naro-Fominsk and Armavir and is due to be completed by the end of 2015," the report said.
