Russian Defense Ministry wants either Mistral-class ships or money

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - France must honor its contract for the delivery of Mistral-class helicopter carriers or give the money back, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said on Wednesday.

"Speaking of the Mistral [ships], there is a contract. And the contract says it all: delivery terms, fines and procedures by which we can demand our money back. You have to give the money back if there are no Mistral-class ships. Nothing personal, that's pure business. There is a contract and its terms have to be met," Antonov said.

Besides, France has joined anti-Russian sanctions and military cooperation with the country has been frozen, Antonov added.
