ASTANA. Dec 25 (Interfax) - A total of 244 religious sites containing negative information were found in Kazakhstan in 2014, Galym Shoikin, chairman of the committee on religions of the Kazakh Culture and Sports Ministry, said.
"We are monitoring the Internet to locate sites containing destructive religious information. In 2014 alone, our committee analyzed over 8,000 such sites, 244 destructive sites were evaluated, and the materials of these evaluations were provided to the relevant authorities to block these sites on the territory of Kazakhstan," he told a briefing in the presidential central communications service in Astana on Wednesday.
The committee's experts also analyzed over 100 videos that had been given a negative evaluation and whose dissemination was prohibited on the territory of the republic.
