MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has offered his condolences to the people of France over the terror attack at the office of the Charlie Hebdo magazine and said that terrorism is unacceptable in any form.
"Dmitry Medvedev is convinced that no ideological differences can justify murder. Those responsible must be punished," his press secretary Natalya Timakova told Interfax on Wednesday.
The head of government expressed his deepest condolences to the people of France and over the loss of human life and condemned the terror attack on the magazine's office, she said.
"The head of government sympathizes with the relatives and loved ones of those killed and wishes swift recovery to those injured in this horrible terror attack," Timakova added.
She said the prime minister pointed out that, "terrorism is unacceptable in any form and manifestation."
It was reported that on Wednesday morning gunmen opened fire at the office building of the satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo in central Paris. According to the latest figures, the death toll has soared to 12. The attackers managed to escape.
