MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - The leadership of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) believes that the line of contact between Ukrainian government forces and the militia remains at the center of disputes with Kyiv and has accused Ukraine of being unwilling to reach a compromise.
"The demarcation of the line of contact is simultaneously one of the points of the Minsk memorandum and the main stumbling block. We are ready to reach a compromise. But Ukraine is holding ground and is refusing to compromise. Kyiv insists that this line should be in the same place where it was on September 19," Vladislav Deinego, LPR chief negotiator at the trilateral Contact Group's meetings in Minsk, told Interfax on Tuesday.
Issues concerning the line of contact in south-eastern Ukraine will be included in the agenda of the next round of Minsk talks, he said.
